Principal Consultant

The principal consultant for Sysanova is Scott Crosby. Scott has 19 years of management experience in the federal government of Canada, predominantly in the fields of Access to Information and Privacy (since the Canadian federal Acts were enacted) and in information management, policy and business and strategic planning.

Mr. Crosby founded Sysanova in 1998 to provide Access to Information and Privacy law services to a broader cadre of federal institutions and provincial institutions, as well as private sector organizations subject to private sector privacy laws. The company has been heavily involved in conducting Privacy Impact Assessments under provincial and federal policies since 2001; having participated in or conducted over 50 Privacy Impact Assessments to date on a wide variety of government programs and initiatives at various jurisdictional levels.

Innovation is the cornerstone of Scott's success, earning several merit awards and a nomination for the Agatha Bystram Award for Leadership in Information Management and vision, and leadership in the development of a case management system for Access to Information and Privacy applications. He is also at the forefront of privacy issues internationally, with an immense depth of experience from which he can draw for implementing the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act.
